2018 Summer Tennis Camp Information
Our Director of Tennis, Bill Belser, is a USPTA level 1 Elite Professional, who is also a USTA High Performance Certified Coach. He has taught all levels and ages for over 35 years from beginners to D1 college players (Thai Kwiatkowski) to Grand Slam Champions like Andy Roddick and Arantxa Sanchez Vicario. Bill and his wife, Liz, have lived in Charlotte for almost 10 years and have two children, Derby and Wills.
Our Head Professional of Jr. Development, Matt Cory, is a USPTA Level 1 Elite Professional,
Matt is also a USPTA Tester, and is certified in Cardio Tennis. He has over 22 years of teaching experience, working with players of all levels and abilities.
Our Director of Fitness, Liz Belser, C-IAYT, is a Yoga Therapist, an ACE Certified Personal Trainer and an IYCA Youth Fitness Coach. In addition, Liz is also a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. With over 20 years of working in the fitness industry, Liz has worked with people of all ages and fitness levels, from 8 to 80 years old and beginners to world class tennis players.
There will also be additional highly qualified coaches added to our staff as we get closer to the summer.

Beginner - Advanced Beginner for ages 5 and up
The USTA QuickStart program will be used in helping players learn the basics of tennis. A fun play and game based format is used to help children learn the sport of a lifetime.
Beginner Daily Schedule:
Monday through Friday
8:30 - 10:30 Tennis Learning and Fun
10:30 - 10:45 Snack Break
10:45 - 11:15 Fitness (games, agility, yoga, arts and crafts, etc)
11:15 - 12:30 Pool
Intermediate Ages 9-15
Future Stars level players. Beginning tournament players. Focus on basic singles and doubles strategy, spins, specialty shots, footwork, court positioning.
Intermediate Daily Schedule (morning and evening hours)
Monday - Friday
10:30-10:45 or 4:00-4:15pm Warm Up, footwork
10:45 - 11:15 or 4:15-4:45pm Technical/tactical development
11:15am-12:00 or 4:45-5:30pm Point and Match Play
12:00-12:30 or 5:30-6:00pm Doubles/ fitness games
Advanced ages 11 - 18
USTA, USPTA and International methods will be used to teach and coach the jrs. in helping reach their potential. We work on finding the individuals strengths and what makes them special, as well as helping improve any areas of weakness. We will also teach how to enjoy competition and making the most of it. Stroke production, footwork, mental skills, strategy, tactics, fitness, nutrition, etc will all be worked on and discussed.
Advanced Daily Schedule:
Monday - Friday
9 - 10:15am Technical, stroke and shot production and themes
10:15 - 11:20 Drills and point play working on the theme of the day
11:20 - 11:30 Snack Break
11:30 - 12:30 Match Play
12:30 - 1:00 Fitness (speed, agility, flexibility, core, shoulder overall strength and injury prevention, nutrition, etc)

- Intermediate ages 9-15 - Full Camp (Morning and Afternoon) $239 members, $258 Non Mem,
- Single Session (Morning or Afternoon) $145 members, $160 Non members
- Advanced ages 11 -18 members - $239 non-mem - $258
