MEET DIRECTOR of TENNIS - Josh Oxendine
Josh joins Providence Plantation Racquet and Swim Club with over 20 years of experience teaching and managing some of the most successful tennis programs in Charlotte. He began his career as one of the youngest certified professionals in the area at Pine Lake Country Club. After a successful tenure at PLCC, Josh went on to Ole Porte Racquet Club (formerly White Oak Racquet Club) to manage and instruct one of the most active memberships in Eastern North Carolina.
Making his way back to Charlotte, Josh became the Adult Director at Providence Country Club. During his tenure, Josh was awarded the 2014 Adult Tournament of the Year and 2017 USTA-NC Pro of the Year and was a vital part of the 2018 Charity Event of the Year. He also was instrumental in coaching juniors of all ages into earning a state ranking.
Josh is a certified USPTA Elite Professional and PTR Professional and has served on multiple committees with USTA-NC. He has also won 3 state doubles titles and finished 2019 as one half of the top-ranked men's doubles team in North Carolina. He is excited to bring his enthusiasm for the game and his desire to exceed member expectations to PPRSC.
While not teaching tennis, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 daughters along with his rose garden, 3 dogs, cat, and a good history book.
